Yall know Magnum 38, we’ve blogged him here a bunch of times and he’s always been a winner! Now we got an email from him about a new EP on Tigerbass, and with said email it came with this story:
“During Magnum 38’s visit in Tokyo this year in January, in his usual manner, he woke up drunken and fond himself under the table in any Karaoke Bar in Shibuya. Somebody punched him in his side and gave him another Vodka. He couldn´t believe who he saw: The legendary Miss Grace Jones ! After some more Vodka he asked in his naive and charming way, if she would be up to a collaboration, if he is allowed to tribute his next EP to her. She just said: „Sweety, do everything you want“, and tried to push him to leave the bar to head to the hotel.”
Now, I’m not sure that’s exactly true, but it does paint a good picture, yeah? What’s even better are the actual tracks – which are diverse and super awesome! From Glitched out techno to bassy destruction, Mz. Jones has never been this freaked out before!
