One of my favorite movies is easily the 1974 John Boorman mega-flick Zardoz. Well, maybe not favorite, but definitely it holds my fascination. Shit, I even read the novel (nerd!) I’m not sure if I’m more interested in the swinging-English futurism or the good old fashioned nihilism, or maybe it’s just the hip-boots. Dunno. It’s even sort of boring even though it’s def freaky all the way though. It’s sort of like the highest of trash. Anyway, there’s something about the high/low paradox in this great track by a fellow Scot going by the name Gravious that reminded me of the mood of the film. It’s out now on Highpoint Lowlife, and you can get it directly from them, or over at Juno now. The whole Ep is great and pushing boundaries in a “Hard Normal Daddy” sort of way mainly because it’s filed under dubstep.
