Here at BPB we don’t really critique too often. By and large we’re relaxed dudes, just doing our stuff and movin along. And we’re no stranger to bangerz either, posting our fair share of explosive dance floor trax when we can. But dunno. Seems that things have changed a bit.
Take the track posted below. It’s by IllstM from Norway and A Girl and a Gun from Alabama (yea southerners!) and I’ve been wondering if it’s a tune that’s super-awesome or just over the top. Honestly, if I Dj’d it, people would flip out. It follows a sort of easy bangin trend of harder and harder electro, right at home on Dim Mak and in the wake of Beetroots, etc. The vox are fun, the melody is good, etc, but it’s also just brutally loud, and I can’t help to feel it’s sort of cheap. Dunno. I’m honestly really divided on it.
What do you think?

Being that A Girl and A Gun is from my home state of Alabama and the fact that it is a “banger” in every sense of the word; I would go ahead and kill the dance floors with it now!
Perhaps I should add it to my play list for Urban Fabric? Yes! I should.

This bitch is such a fraud. Her dad makes her beats, generates plays on her myspace, and makes up fake record labels for AGAAG to be on. She doesn’t play shows or have a record out. How is it possible for her to have 250k myspace plays? Her old band Kiss Kiss Bang Bang sucked, all the songs were written by her dad. What makes this shit so different?

Ken_UF of Urban Fabric? Yeah fucking right: http://www.google.com/search?q=urban+fabric&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
Urban Fabric doesn’t exist.

To “all of Huntsville” or the one hater that posted the above message.
I’m not sure of AGAAG’s background nor do I care. The music is what matters to me and the track posted on this site is a good track. Yes, it is loud, and yes it might be a bit more of the same for some listeners, but it’s a good track that a fellow Alabamian had a hand in making. Whether it was her father (I wish my dad would have been cool enough to make beats with me) or somebody in Norway; the music should come first and it does for me.
What tracks or remixes have you made that have been featured on blogs or released on a label (again, I wish my dad was cool enough to help me start a record label. Whether this is the case for AGAAG I don’t know.)
And as for Urban Fabric not existing, you should do more research before posting your links. If you click on the link, my Urban Fabric play list is mentioned on the seventh link down from the top. To say that Urban Fabric doesn’t exist is to say that you have the skills to do basic research.
Which from your brilliant example above we all know is total nonsense.
