I for one could really care less about the phenomena of the Diva, who – to me – appears to be just one more petulant archetype roaming around our pre-apocalyptic media landscape. Yes, what had started as a “larger lady who can belt it out” has become an actual social type. Of course it’s not really a new phenomena, but just as annoying nevertheless. That said, my buddy Dev/Null showed me the power of the rave-diva vocal over years of berating me with the happiest of happy hardcore, and I’m sure glad he showed me the way.

So in the mail today is a freaking blinder of a track by Jackmaster! Yeah, it’s all diva’d out like the pict above, but maybe even with a bit more ‘ttude and a ton more BASS! It’s just out on their (the Acid Jacks) label Idiothouse now!
