You’ve probably seen this video on the web and you should have listened to its funny soundtrack in pretty much DJ-mixes : “Township funk” by DJ Mujava has been a kind of online bomb recently !
World-techno have been pretty hype recently (Kuduro, Baile funk, Cumbia etc…, you’ve noticed that they’ve all been famous through low-budget-ghetto-dance-videos on youtube). South Africa is now printing his touch : Kwaito moves legs in the name of freedom since 1990 in South Africa and Dj Mujava takes control of the European Dancefloor since few month.
The funny thing is that one year after the video, Warp records is releasing a first ep of DJ Mujava. Should be out mid-september on the UK label.
